The Interlead Conference
May 2nd
There are a many issues that require the combined energy of student leadership and community leadership to solve. At the InterLead Conference we bring both groups together for just that purpose.
This is a very special conference with a very unique format. At the InterLead we will take advantage of the diversity of the attendees—who come from all over New England from big schools and little schools. The focus will be on applied leadership and the issues facing student leadership—specifically this year we are taking on the issues of bullying and hazing.
At the conference we will employ a forum format, which allows both community and student leaders to collaborate on solutions and actions that can and should be taken. The action plans will be transcribed into a “white paper” which will serve as a resource for community action.
Many say “bullying is just something everyone has to go through.” Some say it is a vanishing problem. Some say hazing is just tradition. We want to consider the victims. We refute the notion that leadership cannot solve this problem.
